In hot weather, you should not quench your thirst with sweet soda. Such drinks can only increase the desire to drink, RIA Novosti reports with reference to Roskachestvo.
Experts advise drinking more regular water to replenish the fluid that the body loses through sweat, breathing and urine. In the heat and during physical activity, these losses become greater.
“Calculating the norm is not so difficult: on average, a person loses about 0.5 liters of water through sweat and breathing, and about one and a half liters are excreted through urine. Total – two liters of water lost by the body per day. In hot weather and during physical activity, losses may be greater,” experts explained.
Experts recalled that dehydration can lead to tiredness, fatigue and poor health. Negative consequences for the body are possible even with a loss of 10% of fluid.
In addition to water, kvass can quench your thirst. It contains carbon dioxide, amino acids, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, lactic acid, B vitamins and vitamin C. Roskoshestvo also named tea and juices as suitable drinks. In this case, it is better to dilute juices with water.
