The logistics company and operator of the parcel locker network InPost will expand two logistics centers in Zakrzów and Mnikowo (Lesser Poland Voivodeship), using support from the Polish Investment Zone. The value of the planned investment is over PLN 100 million.

The decision to grant support was made by the Krakow Technology Park, which previously managed a special economic zone, and has now taken over the management of the Polish Investment Zone (PSI) in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship and Jędrzejów County (Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship).
Vice-President and Financial Director of InPost, Marcin Pulchny, announced that the project in Mników includes the creation of a new location of the “Kraków 2” Branch, increasing the warehouse space and implementing a modern automatic parcel sorting system. The investment also includes the modernization of existing equipment and further modernization of logistics processes.
The second project, implemented near Niepołomice, concerns the development of the “Kraków 3” branch. The investment is aimed at increasing production capacity and warehouse space by creating a new location in Zakrzów. As part of the project, it is planned to purchase a modern, automatic sorting system in the form of a closed loop, which will improve and accelerate logistics processes.
According to the information presented, the income tax exemption will allow the company to save nearly PLN 41 million from these two investments, i.e. approximately 40%. eligible costs of the project. (PAP)
