Mihai Stoica, the president of the Board of Directors of FCSB, answered Victor Angelescu, after the president of Rapid declared that Alexandru Dobre is much better than David Miculescu.
The comparison between the two started after Mircea Lucescu announced the national squad for the matches against Bosnia (November 15) and San Marino (November 18).
Miculescu, the extreme right winger from FCSB, got the Romania team. Alexandru Dobre, on the other hand, was not summoned. Victor Angelescu declared that the Rapid player deserved to be in the national team, because “he is a better footballer than Miculescu”. The next day, Mihai Stoica defended the footballer from FCSB.
Mihai Stoica: “There is no comparison, but in the opposite sense. I am talking about the developments in an important European competition, the Europa League”
“I have a different opinion. First of all, Dobre must play in the European cups. What's in the championship… Beat Slobozia, but these numbers don't add up, as long as the championship scorers haven't found their place outside. First of all, Miculescu is left-handed, Dobre is right-handed.
Secondly, football is made of two phases, offensive and defensive, and there are no comparisons here. What did Miculescu do this year? Assisted in the play-offs with Aberdeen in the round. In the return, he scored a penalty with elimination and the qualification was over, a match worth many millions.
In the only group win, away, with a team that won against Aston Villa, Miculescu scored (no – 1-0 with Go Ahead Eagles). For me… I agree with one thing. There is no comparison, but in reverse.
No one says that Dobre does not have numbers in our championship. I look at his numbers at Famalicao. Zero. I am talking about developments in an important European competition, the Europa League. Miculescu scored a goal and assisted with PAOK.
Scored at Linz in last year's Europa League play-off. A but goal against Qarabag, which meant a lot of money. A good footballer must have numbers in Europe. The value of a footballer is not seen in the matches of our championship”, said Mihai Stoica, on Prima Sport 1.
Comparison by numbers between Miculescu and Dobre this season
David Miculescu's numbers at FCSB this season:

-
4 matches in the Europa League group – 1 goal
-
1 match in the Cup – zero goals
-
1 match in the Super Cup – zero goals
-
Total: 26 matches, 5 goals scored, 1 assist, 1 penalty taken
Alexandru Dobre's numbers at Rapid in the current season:
-
16 matches in the Superliga – 9 goals scored, 2 assists

1 match in the Romanian Cup – 2 goals scored
-
Total: 17 matches, 11 goals scored, 2 assists
What Victor Angelescu said
I always try to be very fair and I said that FCSB, in my view, has the best batch. But I don't think there is any kind of comparison between Dobre and Miculescu. Dobre is much better than Miculescu!
FCSB has players like Olaru, Tănase, Bîrligea… You can't say that Bîrligea is not among the first 2-3 strikers, but Dobre is, by far, the best right winger in Romania. The numbers say it too. It doesn't exist [comparație]in all respects: speed, strength…
Do not understand [greșit]Miculescu is very good, but Dobre is Rapid's best player and one of the best in the championship. He has 9 goals, all from action if I'm not mistaken. Dobre deserves it, but it is the coach's decision.
