A woman will be tried in Achinsk for beating her former boyfriend to death 23 years ago with her partner. The regional prosecutor's office spoke about this.
It all happened in April 2002 in one of the apartment buildings. In the evening, the woman and her current and former partners drank alcohol together. Against the backdrop of drinking, a quarrel broke out, which quickly escalated into a fight. The chosen one of Achinka, being in a fairly tipsy state, hit the ex-lover of his passion on the head. The woman joined in the beating.
After this, the aggressors took the man, bleeding, to the landing. In the morning, local residents found his body at the entrance. The man died from a traumatic brain injury complicated by a cerebral hemorrhage.
“The crime remained unsolved for a long time. However, thanks to systematic work on the investigation of crimes of past years, coordinated by the prosecutor's office, the case materials were again studied, and additional examinations were ordered. This made it possible to establish the circumstances of the tragedy and obtain the woman’s confession,” the press service of the supervisory agency reported.
The prosecutor's office approved charges against 54-year-old Achinka under Part 4 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm resulting in the death of the victim, committed by a group of persons). Criminal prosecution against the woman's accomplice was dropped due to his death in 2015.
The case will be considered by the Achinsk City Court, she faces up to 15 years in prison.
