Krasnoyarsk residents are invited to a free exhibition of contemporary art by local authors

On Wednesday, November 12, at 16:00 in the halls of the Russian Academy of Arts (197 Krasnoyarsky Rabochiy Ave.), the grand opening of the large-scale exhibition “Contemporary Krasnoyarsk Art: Searches and Discoveries” will take place.

The project is dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the Krasnoyarsk Union of Artists and the 85th anniversary of joining the Union of Artists of the USSR.

One hundred and eighty authors from Krasnoyarsk, Achinsk, Zheleznogorsk, Zelenogorsk, Borodino and Norilsk will present about five hundred works of fine and decorative art. These are works by famous masters – Valerian Sergin, Sergei Anufriev, German Pashtov, Alexander Klyuev, Sergei Forostovsky, Konstantin Voinov, Valentin Teplov, Anatoly Zolotukhin.

Along with famous masters, the exhibition presents works by equally talented young artists – Sergei Nazarov, Anton Tyryshkin, Evgenia Ablyazova, Nina Nezgovorova, Elena Isaykina, Anton Tkhorenko and many others.

“Artists will present their best works from the last twenty, thirty, forty years. I am sure that this project will be of interest to a wide audience, as well as art lovers, since the works reveal life in all its manifestations,” shared Sergei Forostovsky, Honored Artist of Russia, Chairman of the KRO VTOO “Union of Artists of Russia”.

The exhibition is located at three exhibition venues in the city. In the House of Artists (Mira Avenue, 56) graphic works and works of decorative art are presented, in the RO USDV of the Russian Academy of Arts (Krasnoyarsky Rabochiy Ave., 197) – paintings and sculptural works, and in the halls of the Academy gallery (Krasnoyarsky Rabochiy Ave., 195) – the artistic heritage of masters of past generations, which forms the fundamental basis of professional art in Krasnoyarsk region.

During the exhibition project, visitors will enjoy an event program – master classes, lectures, creative meetings, excursions.

The exhibition will be open in all halls from November 12 to December 14daily from 10:00 to 18:00.

Admission to all events is free with prior registration.
