This is partly true, but there is also a second side to the coin. Scientists are sure that by reading an interesting book, you can pump up the muscles in your body.

Experts from Oxford University came to this conclusion. During laboratory studies, the brains of reading people were scanned. The analysis showed that when reading books that describe smells, tastes or natural landscapes, areas in the human brain become activated, allowing him to feel the reality of what he read.

“Reading exercises the human brain. Immersion in a book is not just following the plot, but an intensive work of the imagination. If something interesting or good happens to the characters, then the same thing happens to us mentally,” explains Professor John Stein.

To relax your muscles, normalize your heart rate or relieve stress, just read an interesting book for 6 minutes. But to enhance the effect, this should be done in silence. But when watching TV, such a reaction is not observed.
