A resident of Achinsk pleaded guilty to double murder and will go to trial for it

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, investigators have completed a criminal investigation against a resident of Achinsk, accused of double murder and destruction of property, reported the press service of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Khakassia.

Let us remind you that on the night of February 9, 2025, a man came into the courtyard of the house where his wife lived, and on parking lot npierced two car tires her roommate. On the morning of the same day, on the landing at the entrance, he attacked a man with a knife. He, trying to escape, ran out into the street, but died from the injuries wounds near the entrance.

“At the same time, the accused hid in the parking lot behind the cars. When his wife ran out into the street, he attacked her too, chasing the woman and stabbing her several times in the neck. The murder was witnessed by the mother of the deceased, who, watching from the window of the house, tried to stop the accused by shouting. After the crime was committed, the man went to his home, where he tried to take his own life. He was discovered in a timely manner by his relatives, and he received medical care in the hospital,” they recalled in the department.

A criminal case was opened against the attacker paragraphs “a”, “d”, part 2, art. 105 (murder of two persons, committed with extreme cruelty), part 1 of Art. 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (deliberate destruction of property). At first the man refused to testify.

During the investigation, he admitted his guilt and is currently in custody. The criminal case has been sent to the prosecutor's office for approval of the indictment and subsequent referral to court.
