New gas-powered buses will be available on two more routes in Krasnoyarsk

In Krasnoyarsknew gas buses will begin serving two more city routes. From November 11, environmentally friendly transport will begin operating on routes 55 and 31. This was reported by the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport.

16 new buses will operate on route No. 55. The entire rolling stock of 10 new vehicles will be replaced on route No. 31.

“Buses running on gas engine fuel were purchased for Krasnoyarsk on the initiative of the regional governor, Mikhail Kotyukov. The main goal is to improve the environment and improve the quality of public transport. By the end of the year, 150 of these machines should arrive in the city. All of them go on routes as they arrive and are completed. Starting tomorrow, 76 new gas-powered buses will be seen on the streets of Krasnoyarsk. Passengers will be able to personally test the new equipment on 6 city routes Nos. 12, 19, 10, 56, 55, 31,” the press service of the city administration clarified.

Note that the new buses run on natural gas. They are equipped air conditioners, heating systems, passenger flow sensors, video cameras, and also adapteds for people with limited mobility citizens. They are easily recognized by their blue body.

In 2026, another 55 units of such equipment should be delivered to Krasnoyarsk.
