In Zheleznogorsk they decided to clean up the building of the Spartak cinema, built in 1952. Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the region Alexey Kulesh reported this on his Telegram channel.
The building in the neoclassical style steadfastly survived the Soviet era and the turbulent 90s, when the cinema premises housed a clothing market. After “Spartak” they handed over the puppet theater “Golden Key” to the disposal of the puppet theater. To date, an agreement has been reached with the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation on sending a federal subsidy to the Krasnoyarsk Territory, including for the renovation of the cinema.
“It is important to preserve the historical appearance of the building: the architectural style of the facade, columns, stucco molding, interior decoration of the Stalinist Empire era. After major renovations, “Spartak” will become a new home for the theater,” said Alexey Kulesh.
The parliamentarian also noted that after the receipt of federal money, funds for co-financing will have to be found in the regional budget. At a meeting of the Legislative Assembly Committee on Culture and Education, deputies agreed with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Culture of the region on special control over the implementation of this project.
