Donald Tusk or Karol Nawrocki? Poles voted who is the better politician [SONDAŻ]

In the question “Which of the following politicians – Karol Nawrocki or Donald Tusk – is a better politician in your opinion?” the indications were almost evenly distributed. For the incumbent president indicated by a total of 44.9 percent. respondents, on premiere — 49.4 percent. The difference is small, but important, because it maintains the advantage of the head of government in the total number of answers. At the same time, 5.7 percent respondents were unable to name a “better” politician.
However, the key to interpreting the results is the structure of the responses. Karol Nawrocki leads in the “definitely better” category with a score of 32.0 percent, while Donald Tusk has 29.8 percent. This suggests that the president's electorate is more convinced of their own choice and more often declares strong support.
In turn, the Prime Minister clearly dominates in the “rather better” answers – 19.6 percent. compared to 12.9 percent for Nawrocki. In other words, Prime Minister Tusk more often attracts milder, but broader sympathy, which may come from the center and from less declared voters.
This is not an easy cooperation
The research results fit into the context of the growing dispute between the Presidential Palace and the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. Since the beginning of Karol Nawrocki's presidency, both politicians have publicly signaled a deep distance, which was visible, for example, during the Cabinet Council in August.

The secret services have become the latest source of conflict. On Friday, November 7, Donald Tusk accused the president of blocking the promotion of 136 people to the first officer rank in the military counterintelligence and the Internal Security Agency, calling it another stage of the war against the Polish government. The president responded on social media that “being prime minister is not only about publishing posts”, accusing the head of government of preventing contact with the heads of the services and using them in a political game.
The verbal exchange of blows strengthened the impression that the relations between the two centers of power will remain confrontational for a long time.
It is worth remembering that the tension does not surprise the citizens themselves. As Wirtualna Polska reminds, at the end of August almost 90 percent respondents predicted frequent conflicts between the president and the prime minister. The latest survey results, with the balance of power and different levels of support, indicate that political polarization today has two faces: the determination of the president's supporters and the broad, although less categorical, advantage of the prime minister.
Methodology: The United Surveys for Wirtualna Polska was conducted on October 24-26, 2025 on a representative sample of 1,000 adult Poles, using the combined CATI & CAWI method.
