In the European Union countries, there is a lot of support for the program of sending migrants who have illegally reached Europe, to centers outside the EU – said the Danish Minister for Immigration Kaare Dybvad in an interview with the Financial Times. Among the countries supporting this idea, he mentioned, among others Poland.

– Sending people applying for asylum outside the EU “is now of great importance,” said Dybvad, representing Denmark, currently in the presidency of the EU Council.

– Now that I meet with colleagues from large Member States, such as Germany, France, Poland, Italy, (…) I see that there is a very strong support for going forward (in this matter) – emphasized the minister.

“FT” recalled the statement of the German interior minister Alexander Dobrindt, who in July announced that “models (immigration policy – PAP) with the participation of third countries enjoy the support of the majority (member states).”

– The vast majority of EU countries clearly made it clear that the Union must take this path – the politician added.

The British newspaper combined a change in the EU's position on the externalization of migration with a progressive increase in social support for far -right environments. It was reminded that three years ago Brussels recognized the idea of Great Britain to send migrants to Rwanda while considering the asylum application, as inhuman and violating international law. Ultimately, the British program was rejected by the Supreme Court, which admitted that Rwanda could not be considered a safe country.

According to “FT”, which referred to two sources acquainted with the case, Germany is currently conducting talks with Rwanda about the program similar to the British. However, it is not known at what stage these negotiations are, taking into account the previous doubts of legal nature.

This week, the Kigali government announced that he agreed to accept 250 deported migrants from the USA.

The Dutch Ministry of Asylum and Migration stated that the Netherlands was conducting talks with Uganda about the creation of a “transit center” for migrants. The British daily reminded that Uganda is a country where LGBT+ is threatened with death.

The Danish Minister Dybvad assessed in an interview with “FT” that the ideal place for the centers would be “countries in North Africa” or other “states where stable rule”.
