Zbigniew Ziobro without immunity. Evening statement from the prosecutor's office. The most important information

Ziobro's comment after the Sejm's decision
Shortly afterwards, Zbigniew Ziobro commented from the center of Budapest. — The truth is the most important thing. It's good that it happened, because an obvious set up was revealed. Donald Tusk wrote a few days ago that there would be arrest, period. He could write like that because during these long months, Bodnar and Żurek, under his supervision and at his request, were taking over the justice system – said the former minister on Telewizja Republika. The politician added: “Tusk is the king of thieves. He knows that I know the truth.”
— You can say that this is normal. Those who represent foreign interests, this is how they should be and this is what they are, this is what their principals expect from them. (…) I have no knowledge that Zbigniew Ziobro has committed any crimes, said PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński.

Why did the Razem group MPs not participate in the vote?
Outrage after Razem's decision
All MPs from the Razem group did not take part in the vote regarding the detention and arrest, which was widely commented on online by politicians of the ruling coalition. The Razem spokesman commented on the matter. “Voting on the arrest before Ziobro is summoned by the court is a mistake and a political gift for Ziobro, who is already making himself a victim. The time for this vote will be when Ziobro does not appear in court,” explained Mateusz Merta.
Next possible steps in the Ziobro case
The President of the Supreme Bar Council and member of the State Tribunal, Przemysław Rosati, explained in an interview with Onet what the possibilities are after the lifting of Ziobro's immunity. As he emphasized, some steps will probably not be possible because the MP is in Hungary. In this situation, the prosecutor will have to apply to the court for temporary arrest. The next step will be to issue an arrest warrant and apply to the District Court for a European Arrest Warrant.
— It is worth emphasizing that only after this hearing will a decision be made whether the prosecutor's office will demand pre-trial detention for the politician for a period of up to three months. Additionally, the court must agree to the request for pre-trial detention, the lawyer reminded, adding that Hungary would probably refuse to extradite Ziobro.
