Record sales of electric cars in Poland. We have so many electric car charging stations


In September 2025, nearly 50,000 were registered in Poland. passenger cars, which is an increase of 20%. compared to September 2024 and is the best result in the history of statistics, the Samar Automotive Market Research Institute reported on Thursday.
Chinese manufacturers sold a record number of cars in Poland in September – 4,419, and their market share in September amounted to 8.9%.
In parallel with the increase in the share of Chinese producers in the Polish market, the development of the electric car segment is observed.
The share of new electric passenger cars (BEVs) in the market increased once again in a row and reached 9% in September 2025. – according to data from IBRM Samar.
Electric cars in Poland in 2025
PSNM data for August 2025 shows that 193,301 electric passenger cars were registered in Poland, including:
— 97,575 BEV cars, i.e. fully electric cars
— 95,726 PHEV cars, i.e. plug-in hybrids
At the end of August 2025, a total of 107,242 passenger and commercial cars (BEV type) were registered in Poland.
Electric cars are setting records. What about chargers?
“Registrations of passenger electric cars in Poland are reaching new records, but the sales of zero-emission 'delivery vehicles' are very far from expected,” says Jan Wiśniewski, director of the PSNM Research and Analysis Center, quoted by the website rybelektryczny.pl
As the number of electric vehicles increases, so does the charging infrastructure. At the end of August 2025, there were 10,941 publicly available electric vehicle charging points in Poland. There are 9.8 fully electric passenger cars and commercial vehicles per charging point.
The cities with the best developed infrastructure for zero-emission vehicles are: Warsaw (813 points), Gdańsk (354), Kraków (315), Poznań (308) and Szczecin (298).
