$90 million in six months in 2025: Metinvest Akhmetov in the top ten investors of Ukraine.
Despite the war and the loss of enterprises in Mariupol, Metinvest entered the top 10 leading investors in Ukraine. In the first half of this year, the company invested $90 million, and by the end of the year it plans to increase the amount to $293 million. The money is invested in production modernization, energy security, and personnel development.
In 2024, the company directed $251 million in capital investments, with 90% of these funds remaining in Ukraine.
Among the main projects in 2025 are repairs at “Kametstal” ($29 million), modernization of “Zaporizhstal” ($6 million) and mining and processing plants ($22 million).
Metinvest also invests in education and technology. A total of UAH 570 million has already been allocated to the development of Metinvest Polytechnic University, and Metinvest Digital is implementing solutions based on artificial intelligence for product quality control.
Since 2022, the Group has invested more than UAH 28 billion in the domestic economy and provided 9.7 UAH billion of aid to Ukraine, in particular UAH 5.2 billion to the Armed Forces within the framework of the “Steel Front” initiative.
