In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the winner of the “Teacher of the Year – 2026” competition was determined.

The Ministry of Education said that 35 teachers took part in it, 20 reached the final. 10 people became laureates, 9 became winners.

In the final round, the contestants passed three tests – they conducted a “Modern lesson”, “An extra-curricular educational event” and demonstrated a master class in their discipline.

The absolute winner was Svetlana Bobunova, a chemistry teacher at Gymnasium No. 1 in Norilsk. Several years ago she moved to the Krasnoyarsk Territory from the Kaluga Region. The total teaching experience is 24 years. Svetlana is interested in cooking and dreams of developing her own method of teaching chemistry, where each topic will be presented with a “zest.”

“For me, a teacher is not just a profession, it is a conscious choice. Being a teacher means making a small discovery every day with children and believing that by explaining the laws of chemistry to them, I can help them understand the more complex laws of life,” shared Svetlana Bobunova.

She was presented with a gold badge and a certificate for a monetary reward in the amount of 700 thousand rubles by the Minister of Education of the region, Tatyana Gridasova. The head of the department congratulated all participants on the completion of the region’s main professional pedagogical competition.

“The Teacher of the Year competition has long evolved from a simple competition into a large-scale platform for demonstrating best practices, innovations and teaching talents. All of you are already winners because you weren’t afraid to come here and demonstrate your skills. If a teacher grows as a professional – and this always happens when participating in such competitions – then the level of results of his students also increases. I would like to thank each of you for your loyalty to the profession, your daily work, for the fact that you remain creative, self-confident professionals,” emphasized Tatyana Gridasova.

Nine winners received a silver badge and a cash reward in the amount of 200 thousand rubles.

The absolute winner will represent the Krasnoyarsk region at the Russian Teacher of the Year competition.
