“Witch” caught in the act after allegedly taking €25,000 from a woman for “spiritual rituals, exorcisms and charms”

A woman from Hunedoara was caught red-handed after allegedly defrauding a local woman of over 25,000 euros. The police discovered that for a year, the “witch” would have taken advantage of the victim's gullibility, promising him “releases and charms”.

A woman from the municipality of Hunedoara was detained for 24 hours, being accused of defrauding a local woman of an impressive amount of money, promising her “rituals and release of charms”, which were supposed to solve her personal problems.

The police caught her red-handed on Wednesday, November 5, and, after hearings, she was detained for 24 hours.

Later, the investigators conducted a search at her residence, from where several goods, sums of money and documents were taken, which are to be analyzed to establish the origin and the connection with the criminal activity.

According to the information provided by the Hunedoara County Police Inspectorate, between October 2024 and November 2025, the woman would have misled a local woman, convincing her to give her large sums of money in exchange for allegedly “spiritual” services. Under the pretext of performing rituals, divorces and other “interventions”, the suspect would have obtained approximately 25,000 euros from the injured person.

The “witch” was taken to the Deva Detention and Preventive Arrest Center, where she will be presented to the prosecutors, who will decide what measures will be taken against her.
