“The internal security of the National Police of Ukraine detained law enforcement officer Yuriy Rybyansky. The policeman was found in the Rivne region,” the message says.
Law enforcement officers noted that the investigation will be conducted by the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), and urgent investigative actions are now ongoing.
The police reported that the head of the Darnitsa police department, Rybyansky, did not show up for duty and went missing, which is why a pre-trial investigation was launched under Art. 115 (intentional murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
During the inspection, it became known that the seized funds to which Rybyansky had access had disappeared, so criminal proceedings were initiated under Part 3 of Art. 365 (exceeding power or official authority).
They wrote on social networks that $400 thousand allegedly disappeared from the evidence storage room and this story is connected with the “protection protection” of gaming establishments.
