The first batch of buses running on gas engine fuel is ready for work – 40 new MAZs will hit the routes in Krasnoyarsk tomorrow. The head of the region, Mikhail Kotyukov, announced this on his Telegram channel.
The buses will run on the left and right banks and will completely replace the rolling stock on routes No. 12 and No. 19.
“The new equipment runs on environmentally friendly fuel – natural gas. A gas station was specially built on the territory of the ATP. The transport is equipped with the most advanced systems to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers. By the way, the blue exterior color of the buses was based on the opinions of Krasnoyarsk residents. I also took part in this vote, they agreed with the residents in their choice,” the governor said
By the end of autumn, another 110 of these modern buses will be delivered to Krasnoyarsk to improve the environmental situation and improve the quality of public transport.
Let us remind you that earlier in the regional capital the number of “dacha” routes was reduced. Buses No. 18C, 40A and 40C stopped running until spring. This is an annual practice due to a decrease in passenger traffic on “seasonal” routes.
Now you can get to the right bank garden societies only on two routes: No. 18 “Technical College of Transport and Service – Verkhnie Cheryomushki Microdistrict” and No. 40 “Technical School of Transport and Service – Polygon”. The 40th bus will stop operating on November 1.
