You probably know this picture: in a drawer or on the nightstand there are a lot of wires, all the same, all tangled, and it is impossible to understand which one is from the headphones, which one is from the phone, and which one is not yours at all. But there is an easy way to clean up in 5 minutes.
Use colored stickers, pieces of tape, or even small hair ties. Attach a different “marker” to each wire:
- Red – for your phone
- Blue – for laptop
- Green – for headphones
- Yellow – for guests or backup device
You can even write brand names directly on the tape with a marker.
If there are a lot of wires, tie each one into a neat loop and put a piece of straw or a plastic tea tag on it. They won't break or slide off.
Now all the charges are kept separate and do not get confused or lost. This life hack also works for headphones, flash drives, keys and cables from equipment.
Question and answer:
How to store chargers so they don't get confused?
Roll into a loop and secure with an elastic band or clip. Store in separate compartments or on hooks.
What to do if there are too many wires?
Divide them into categories: “for home”, “on the road”, “reserve”. Label each group separately.
Is it safe to put tape on cables?
Yes, if you use regular or masking tape. It will not damage the insulation and can be easily removed.
