If you dream of strawberries that you can eat with a spoon like ice cream, pay attention to the Gigantella Maxima variety. These are not just berries, but real fruit desserts: juicy, aromatic, with delicate pulp and a taste in which you can feel caramel, honey and the slight sourness of ripe raspberries.

  • The aroma is rich; store-bought strawberries cannot be compared.
  • Productivity up to 1.5 kg per bush per season.

  • Trim the mustache if you do not plan to reproduce. This will direct the forces to the berries.
  • Cover the bushes with lutrasil for the winter in the middle zone, as the berry tolerates frost well down to –20°C, but with shelter it will overwinter without loss.

Question and answer:

How is Gigantella different from Queen Elizabeth 2?
“Gigantella” produces larger berries and is better stored, while “Queen” is remontant and bears fruit more actively in August.

Why do the berries become smaller by August?
Often due to lack of moisture and nutrition. In hot weather, water 2-3 times a week and feed with ash.

Is it possible to grow in Central Russia?
Yes, but with obligatory shelter for the winter. Without shelter, it can freeze in severe frosts.
