The company specifies that the gas supply will be resumed only after ANRE authorized companies, contracted by customers, will check the installations in the apartments and certify that they are working safely. For the other consumers in the affected assembly, the supply will remain suspended.
According to approval no. 20/29.10.2025, issued by the Committee of the Municipality of Bucharest for Emergency Situations, the authorities allowed the work related to Stage III of the technical plan of measures proposed by Distrigaz Sud Rețele to be carried out. Thus, starting from November 4, 2025, the teams will start the excavations for the reintegration of the pipeline section and the resumption of the gas supply for block no. 33, stairs 1, 2 and 3, Vicina street no. 3.
After the completion of the works, ANRE authorized operators will check the installations in the apartments, and the resumption of power supply will be possible only on the basis of documents certifying safe operation.
During the entire duration of the works, the Distrigaz Sud Rețele teams will be present on site to ensure safety and effective communication with the authorities.
Next, for the tenants of blocks no. 32, stairs 1 and 2 on Vicina street, block no. 30A from Calea Rahovei no. 317 and block no. 30, stairs 1 and 2, from Calea Rahovei no. 319, the gas supply will remain suspended.
The explosion on October 17 affected 1,086 domestic customers. The resumption of supply is done in stages, only for homes that meet the safety conditions, and in cases where gas leaks were detected, the supply could not be resumed.
Tenants were also allowed to return to safe-to-live-in properties. “The building body where the explosion took place is unfit for living. In the other two bodies, access to tenants is allowed, but each apartment will be expertized by the ISC”, said a representative of the Romanian Police.
