Criminal investigation operatives of the regional Main Directorate detained two suspects in a series of thefts of electrical equipment from commercial organizations and garages in Krasnoyarsk.
During searches, previously repeatedly convicted men aged 33 and 35 years old were found and They seized stolen property, as well as medical masks and balaclavas used for conspiracy purposes. In addition, the police found a pistol suitable for shooting and showing signs of being converted from a cold weapon into a combat weapon.
“It has been previously established that the criminal activities of the defendants lasted for one and a half years. Two Krasnoyarsk residents stole power tools from garages and warehouses in the regional center, then sold them to pawn shops. The criminals divided the money received equally and disposed of it at their own discretion. Currently, their involvement in 15 criminal episodes has been established. The total amount of damage caused exceeds 5 million rubles.”
A criminal case was opened against the detainees under Part 4 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft as part of an organized criminal group”, the issue of bringing them to criminal liability for the illegal manufacture of weapons is also being resolved.
