A 65-year-old pedestrian was fatally hit by a vehicle on Sunday evening, November 2, on DN 1F, near the town of Mera, on the border of Sălaj and Cluj counties.

“Intervention in a serious road accident happened within the radius of Mera. A crew with the extrication mode from Detachment 1 Cluj-Napoca intervened, a short time ago, at a serious road accident on DN 1F, within the radius of the Mera locality.
As a result of the accident, there was only one victim, more precisely a man of approximately 65 years. Unfortunately, he had injuries incompatible with life, being declared dead by the doctor of the Cluj County Ambulance Service”ISU Cluj representatives sent to Stiri de Cluj.
According to the Infotraffic Centre, the road traffic in the area took place alternately, on a single lane.
Also on Sunday, another road accident took place on the same road, resulting in four injuries. The event took place in the town of Românaşi, after two cars collided.
As a result of the accident, there were four people who required medical attention on the spot, and the traffic was diverted by the police on alternative routes, the Traffic Center reported.
