According to the media, the injured included children. Some of the injured were taken to hospitals in private cars and farm vehicles as ambulances were unable to reach the scene due to the ongoing shooting. The police have not yet given permission for ambulances to enter the village.
Authorities did not release details about the injured. It is also unclear whether the police managed to arrest the suspects. Police said that although Friday's explosion at the new house caused extensive damage, no one was injured.
Feuds of a family revenge nature still occasionally break out in the Cretan province, Ekathimerini emphasized.
