The contractor again delayed the improvement of the central streets of Krasnoyarsk

Work on the improvement of four historical streets in the center of Krasnoyarsk was again not completed on time. Despite the fact that, according to the contract, the objects were to be commissioned in mid-October, the contractor still needs time to eliminate the comments.

During an on-site inspection on the streets of Karatanov, 9 January, Perenson and Dzerzhinsky, the first deputy head of the city, Alexander Matsak, stated that the main work had been completed, but it was necessary to install street furniture and road signs, the administration’s press service reports.

“Responsibility for untimely completion of work is not relieved from the contractor. He has already been issued 26 orders, and a fine for delay was imposed in the total amount of about 1 million rubles,” Matsak emphasized.

Among the reasons for the delay are archaeological work and the replacement of utility networks on 9 January and Karatanova streets, which lasted almost two months.

Next year, improvement will continue on the streets of Kirov and Dictatorship of the Proletariat. Bidding for these works will be announced before the end of the year so that the contractor can start work in April and avoid problems with pedestrian accessibility.
