Many people experience unpleasant odor and excessive sweating of their feet, which becomes the cause of complexes. The doctor and author of the blog “Nozhkin Doctor / Podologist in Moscow” (12+) on the Zen platform (12+) told how to get rid of this embarrassing problem.
The expert advised to use the “power” of lavender oil. Not only does it smell nice, but it also helps get rid of bacteria.
How to make a lavender foot bath:
- Add a few drops of lavender oil to warm water.
- Immerse your feet in the water for 15–20 minutes.
- Repeat the procedure for 5-7 days in a row.
It is also important to follow simple rules of care:
Wash your feet every day and use special foot deodorants. After washing, dry your feet and between your toes well with a soft towel.
Avoid wearing synthetic socks and shoes, as they will only make you sweat more. It is better to choose socks made of cotton or wool, and shoes made of leather or other “breathable” materials.
Use special means. It is not necessary to buy expensive deodorants; ordinary foot antiseptics will do: boric acid, baby powder for diaper rash, talcum powder with zinc. They can be applied to the feet and inside shoes.
Remember: All people's feet may sweat, but the sweat itself should not have a strong odor. If the unpleasant odor and sweating do not go away even with care, you should consult a doctor. Perhaps the reason is some disease that requires treatment.
