Children stuck on an island due to rising waters in a village in the south of the Krasnoyarsk Territory

In the village of Shushenskoye, Krasnoyarsk Territory, rescuers had to evacuate two 12-year-old girls from the island.

The incident occurred on the evening of April 26. As a result of rising water levels in the Shush River, schoolgirls remained cut off on the island. Eyewitnesses reported this to rescuers by phone, they promptly arrived at the scene and began helping the children in trouble.

Employees of the Shushenskaya rescue station carried the girls to the shore, after which they held a preventive conversation with them about safe behavior on the water.
