“Starting on November 1st, Colonel Toma Marius Cezar is empowered as director general of the General Directorate of the Gendarmerie of the Municipality of Bucharest. We specify the fact that this position was temporarily vacant from the end of August, as a result of the fact that Mr. Major General Cătălin Stegăroiu was empowered as the first deputy inspector general of the Romanian Gendarmerie”the Romanian Gendarmerie transmitted on Friday, News writes.
Colonel Toma Marius Cezar holds the position of chief inspector of the Argeş County Gendarmerie Inspectorate.
The institution specified that “the decision to empower him was taken following a previously started analysis process, a process aimed at evaluating several managerial aspects, in order to ensure the continuity of the act of command at the level of the Gendarmerie of the Capital”.
Most likely, the decision was taken in the context that appeared on Thursday evening, when Marian Rădună, representative of the MEA Association and one of the organizers of the march dedicated to the victims of the fire in the Colectiv club, was fined by the Romanian Gendarmerie with 3,000 lei for “exceeding the commemoration hour”.
The Romanian Gendarmerie announced that it is checking the way of applying the contraventional sanction granted to the organizer of the commemorative march for the victims of Colectiv, specifying that the gendarmerie would have acted without taking into account the spirit of the law.
