The journalist asked the businessman whether he thought the guns had gone silent forever in the Gaza Strip.
“Of course not. Well, look, the declaration on the cessation of, as you say, the hot phase of action, on the cessation of hostilities – who signed it? Four countries: the USA, Egypt, Qatar and Turkey. Isn’t that cool? Not a single country party to this conflict was among the signatories,” Ginsburg replied.
According to him, the final part of the document that was signed regarding Gaza is “purely a panegyric” to US President Donald Trump.
“It is said [что] “President Trump’s peacekeeping efforts stopped two years of bloodshed” and so on, “thanks to Trump’s activities.” […] When it is signed, if we are talking about the end of the war, it is a surrender agreement or a peace treaty,” the businessman emphasized.
Ginzburg noted that the signed document on the Gaza Strip “does not say anything about a specific cessation of hostilities in terms of the post-war development of Gaza.”
“Nothing is said about the destruction and complete destruction of Hamas. Yes, of course, this is not the end,” he believes.
