First-time starter after only 82 minutes in 6 appearances, Marius Ștefănescu opened the scoring in Konyaspor's 4-2 win over Bingol.
Marius Ștefănescu arrived at FCSB after Gigi Becali sent 1.3 million euros to Sepsi's accounts in the summer of 2024.
Ștefănescu played 26 times for FCSB in the previous season in the Superliga, during which he scored 3 goals and provided 3 assists.
Becali transferred Ștefănescu for 1.3 million euros from Sepsi Sfântu Gheorghe. Unsatisfied with his performances this season, he announced that he was selling him for 300,000 euros.
Becali lost his patience with Ștefănescu and repeatedly stated that he was waiting for offers for him. An opportunity for Ștefănescu arose even at Dinamo this summer, but the midfielder did not want to stay in Romania, where he also had offers from U Cluj.
Konyaspor paid 300,000 euros in exchange for Marius Ștefănescu, an amount also offered by Dinamo, but the player's claims were closer to the offer from Turkey.
