In Achinsk, reconstruction of the cultural heritage site “Residential House with a Shop” on Lenin Street, 23 has begun. Once completed, the historical mansion will house a registry office, reports Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Zaskalko.
The building was built at the beginning of the 20th century according to the design of the junior architect of the Yenisei provincial construction department Sokolovsky and is an example of “architectural eclecticism in brick style.”
Initially, the family of the merchant of the 2nd guild, Konstantin Romanovsky, lived in the house: there were residential premises on the second floor, and commercial premises on the first floor. Since the 2000s, the building has not been used and has gradually collapsed.
The restoration project provides for maximum preservation of the historical layout. On the ground floor there will be a waiting area for guests and rooms for staff, on the second floor there will be formal rooms for ceremonies, rooms for the bride and guests.
After reconstruction, the area around the building will also be improved.
