A named auditorium “Transneft – Western Siberia” opened in Krasnoyarsk Siberian Federal University

Transneft Western Siberia JSC (a subsidiary of Transneft PJSC) provided financial support to the Siberian Federal University (SFU) in Krasnoyarsk as part of its charitable activities.

The allocated funds were used to equip the classroom of the Department of Design and Operation of Gas and Oil Pipelines at the Institute of Oil and Gas of Siberian Federal University. In particular, an interactive panel was purchased for conducting classes in specialized disciplines.

“In modern realities, training qualified specialists for the industry is only possible together with industrial partners. Cooperation with Transneft Western Siberia JSC allows us to keep up with the times: improve the educational process, strengthen the material and technical base and meet the current and future needs of enterprises in personnel,” said Alexander Sokolnikov, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs of the Institute of Oil and Gas of Siberian Federal University.

The ceremonial presentation of the updated audience took place with the participation of representatives of the Krasnoyarsk branch of Transneft Western Siberia JSC. As part of the event, a tour of the building of the Institute of Oil and Gas of Siberian Federal University and master classes from specialized departments for the children of the company’s employees took place. About 30 high school students took part in them.

“We got acquainted with the areas of study at the Institute of Oil and Gas, walked around the building, and took part in several master classes. One of them – in the chemical laboratory – was especially memorable. In the new auditorium “Transneft – Western Siberia”, decorated in a corporate style, we were told about the company and in-demand professions. In general, the equipment and opportunities that the university offers are impressive. I want to study here,” 9th grade student Alisa Lisovets shared her opinion.

In 2025, Transneft Western Siberia JSC and the Siberian Federal University entered into a cooperation agreement. The document provides for interaction in the field of training and retraining of personnel for the oil and gas industry, holding joint career guidance events, comprehensive research and development work, organizing practical training and internships for students with subsequent employment.
