Pentagon gives green light to Tomahawks. The decision is up to Donald Trump

Plans to sell or transfer Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine are already prepared. According to reports from the New York Times in mid-October, the documentation was prepared in advance in case President Trump issued an appropriate order.
The US president has not yet ruled out agreeing to transfer American Tomahawk long-range cruise missiles to Ukraine. However, after a conversation with Vladimir Putin in October, Trump reportedly stated that he did not intend to transfer these weapons to Ukraine. According to the Wall Street Journal, the chances of the US providing Ukraine with new, powerful weapons have significantly decreased.
After Donald Trump's meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky on October 17, the media reported that the US president had made a negative decision. Axios reported that during Friday's meeting, Trump told the Ukrainian leader that, at least for now, he has no plans to provide Tomahawk long-range missiles to Ukraine.
Uncertainty surrounding the transfer of Tomahawks
Currently, following the Pentagon's decision, the final decision on the transfer of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine rests with Donald Trump. It is unclear how many missiles the United States could donate, where the Ukrainians could safely store them, or what impact using a limited number of them would have.
There are also concerns among American officials about the possible escalation of tensions with Russia if the Tomahawks are transferred to Ukraine. The decision of the US president may be of key importance for the further course of the conflict and international relations.
