A SVO soldier managed to survive the shelling and take a gift from a Krasnoyarsk schoolgirl from the battlefield – knitted bear. The Popular Front of the Krasnoyarsk Territory shares its history.
Young Krasnoyarsk resident Karina knitted a bear cub in a helmet and body armor for her 19-year-old best friend, who went to the Northern Military District zone. The girl placed an icon with a prayer in a special pocket and wrote a poem.
She didn’t have time to give the amulet to her friend – the guy went missing. Through the branch of the Popular Front, the bear, with Karina’s permission, got to another fighter.
In July 2024, the mascot was given to a military man with the call sign Samurai, to whom Krasnoyarsk activists handed over a motorcycle. The fighter attached the bear cub to his body armor and took it on all missions.
During combat missions The samurai was wounded, his bulletproof vest was torn. The fighter took off the bear and together with him was able to get out from under enemy fire.
