A Krasnoyarsk woman who deprived her husband’s abuser of his sight received three years in prison (video)

The court sentenced a 35-year-old resident of Krasnoyarsk to three years in prison for causing grievous bodily harm in a fight near the Chance cafe. The prosecutor's office reports this.

Let us remind you that the incident occurred on a February evening when the couple was leaving the establishment. In the courtyard of the establishment, a quarrel arose between the accused’s husband and another visitor, which escalated into a fight. The stranger hit the woman's husband in the face, after which she rushed to her husband's defense.

First, the accused hit the attacker with a beer bottle, which broke from the impact, but this did not stop the offender. Then the woman knocked him to the ground and struck him in the face several times with a shrapnel. As a result, the man suffered a serious eye injury and partially lost his vision.

“I was scared for my husband and decided to protect him from the fight. He was undergoing surgery, and I was afraid that he might be injured, crippled, and he might not get up again. I felt a threat to my family and defended myself,” the defendant told investigators.

She fully admitted her guilt and agreed to compensate the costs of treating the victim. The court took into account mitigating circumstances, including the presence of three young children, and granted a deferment of serving the sentence for 10 years.
