The interim president of the USR, Dominic Fritz, said on Wednesday that the party is opposed to increasing taxes, except for gambling. The USR also supports “eliminating indecent bonuses and bonuses, combining institutions that have no purpose and staff reductions, where now sinecure has been employed”.
Dominic Fritz spoke about the measures proposed by the party in the discussions for the formation of the government, in a press conference held, on Wednesday, in Parliament.
“USR opposes the increase of taxes, does not propose tax increases. We have a mathematical, accounting reality. We have to cover a hole in the budget. But we must do it based on the principle of justice, because this is expected, we do justice. Let us no longer accept as an inefficient state to suck energy and resources from the environment. Press supported in Parliament.
Among the measures proposed by the USR in the discussions with the other parties, Dominic Fritz reminds “the elimination of indecent bonuses and bonuses, the combination of institutions that have no purpose, personnel reductions where self -employed, the listing of state companies were employed.”
Agree to increasing taxes for gambling
“My clear message and I come back to this, because, unfortunately, absolutely false information and misinformation have been done. I say once again: we will discuss any kind of tax and taxes only after we like the list of expenses,” he said.
“A single example I give you for tax increases where we agree: for gambling and tricks. There is a VAT exemption,” said Fritz.
Asked about Nicușor Dan's proposal to involve secret services in the issue of tax evasion, Dominic Fritz replied that USR agrees with such a reform.
“ANAF cannot do its job and call another institution to do its job. Any discussion about extending the duties of services and SRI has to discuss the civil control of the services. We are for such a reform, but a key element must be that civil control,” he added.
