Romanian Football Cup: FCSB had fun in Bistrița, in the land of the former head of the tables

FCSB, Universitatea Craiova, FC Argeș and Universitatea Cluj achieved victories on Wednesday, away, in the first stage of the Romanian Football Cup groups.

In Bistrița, FCSB prevailed with the goals scored by Alibec (26 – penalty) and Thiam (45). Both scorers of the champion were taken out at half-time and replaced by Bîrligea and Politic. The final was animated by the penalty goal scored by Emmanuel Mensah (79th minute), a 21-year-old Ghanaian registered with the Transylvanian team.

FC Argeș beat Metaloglobus with a score of 3-2, in Clinceni, after leading 2-0 and being tied.

Takayuki Seto (29) and Kevin Brobbey (34 – penalty) scored in the first half for Pitesti, who were close to a forfeit score, but Robert Popescu hit the bar (52).

The Bucharesters managed to come back, with the goals scored by Cosmin Achim (59) and Yassine Zakhir (78), but the Portuguese Ricardo Matos (85) brought victory to the team coached by Bogdan Andone.

The university beat Metalul Buzău with a score of 2-1, after the second league team led at halftime with the goal scored by Valentin Dumitrache (45+3 – penalty).

“U” equalized immediately after the break, through Atanas Trică (50), the winning goal being scored by the young Nigerian Taiwo Quadri Olakunle (90+1), on his debut in an official match for the “red caps”.

The hosts had a chance to make it 2-1 in the minute. 78, but Iulian Cristea rejected the ball headed by Dumitrache from the goal line.
