Gliwice will gain a new assembly line for K2PL tanks. The contract has already been signed

The agreement provides that the Gliwice plant will gain access to the necessary equipment and tools that will allow it to launch an assembly line of tanks and accompanying vehicles. 61 K2PL machines are to be produced in Poland using local components, which is part of a broader plan to Polonize technology.

The signing of the agreement had been expected since August, when a contract was concluded for the delivery of another 180 K2 tanks for the Polish army, of which 64 were to be in the K2PL version. As part of the 2022 framework agreement covering one thousand such machines, the K2 is to become the most frequently used type of tank in the Polish armed forces.
