How the 2 groups at the Tournament of Champions look like » Aryna Sabalenka, in search of the first title in this competition

In a few days, Riyadh will become the center of world women's tennis, with the top 8 players in the world fighting for the WTA Finals trophy. Coco Gauff, the reigning champion, will be present in Saudi Arabia and will try to defend her title in 2024, but Aryna Sabalenka, the world leader, aims to get the trophy for the first time in her career.

On Tuesday, October 28, the draw for the 2 groups took place. Here is how the 8 players were distributed:

• Stefanie Graf group: Aryna Sabalenka (27 years, 1 WTA), Coco Gauff (21 years, 3 WTA), Jessica Pegula (31 years, 5 WTA), Jasmine Paolini (29 years, 8 WTA)

• The Serena Williams Band: Iga Swiatek (24 years, 2 WTA), Amanda Anisimova (24 years, 4 WTA), Elena Rybakina (26 years, 6 WTA), Madison Keys (30 years, 7 WTA)

The group stage matches will take place between 1-6 November, the semi-finals will take place on 7 November and the final is scheduled for Saturday 8 November.

At the competition in Saudi Arabia will also be present Simona Halep, who was named ambassador of the Tournament of Champions. Throughout her career, she participated in this tournament 5 times, and in 2014, she reached the final, being defeated 6-3, 6-0 by Serena Williams.
