The last opponent in Mircea Lucescu's career praised the legendary Romanian coach: “Rest in peace, master!”

The Italian technician was the last opponent in Mircea Lucescu's career, in the play-off won by Turkey against the Romanian national team with a score of 1-0. Later, “Il Luce” would end his term in the friendly match with Slovakia, but the former national team fainted in the training session and was rushed to the hospital.
Following complications during hospitalization, Mircea Lucescu died at the Bucharest University Hospital, at the age of 80.

The day after the terrible news that Mircea Lucescu died, Vincenzo Montella posted on his personal Instagram account a photo with “Il Luce”, from the match between Turkey and Romania, which was played on March 26, two weeks before the tragedy.
