Radu Banciu, 55 years old, remembered an unprecedented episode in his career as a commentator, which happened in Bulgaria, at a platoon match. The sports journalist imitated a dog barking live on GSP Live.

Broadcaster, columnist, sports commentator. Radu Banciu has extensive experience in sports journalism, decades of career in which he has accumulated experiences and sparkling memories.

Today, as a guest on GSP Live, he told what happened when he had to go to Bulgaria to comment on a second-rate match.

Radu Banciu started “barking” at GSP Live: “What's going on?”

“They were matches produced by the PRO, as far as I remember. There were only teams from the province, landlocked. That's what we were commenting on. Let's say Pirin Blagoevgrad with Trakia Plovdiv. At one of these matches, that this will remain in history, a really exceptional event happened. It happened at such a match, far from the Black Sea.

By minute 10-15 a dog starts barking. It's a running track and behind a gate was a doe's cage. This starts barking around the 10-12 minute mark with a Niagara Falls flow (no – imitates the barking of the dog). I was with my colleague, Andy Stănescu, with whom I was commenting. We could only hear the barking of the dog in the headphones, I don't know why. Nothing else was heard.

We wondered how much he could bark. “He will bark for 5-10 minutes, 20 if we are unlucky”. But that one barked from the 12th minute until the break with the same rate! I don't know why, he should have been familiar with the football game considering he had the cage in the stadium.

what's going on When we go into the break, the dog is instantly silent. We take off our headphones and look at each other: “What is this, bro?!”. The second half begins, I kick off, I don't know what, we look at each other and say: «Shut up». Well, after a few seconds the dog starts barking“, said Banciu in dialogue with Mihai Mironică.

A little later, Banciu returned to that episode:

“I remember that at one point someone was holding him. He had come out a little and that cage and he was pulling one of the leashes like you pull big dogs. You were at a distance, like in bohemian films, and the dog was pulling you. It was a state of catastrophe. If that one managed to get on the field, it was carnage. It happened like in Latin America, when the jaguar enters the field and eats the those”.
