Rapid – Unirea Slobozia. A dream first half for Giulești, who “struck” three times, through Claudiu Petrila (7'), Rare Pop (36') and Cristi Manea (45+2')! The 20-year-old right midfielder, started for the third time this season by Gâlcă, scored the first goal after 400 days!

Transferred from UTA Arad in 2024 for around 700,000 euros, the kid, wearing number 30 for Rapid, scored the 2nd goal.

In the 36th minute, Christensen passed Petrila perfectly, who escaped alone with Popa, tried to dribble him, but Slobozia's goalkeeper intervened in time.

Unfortunately for him, the ball ricocheted to Rareș Pop, who sent a violent shot from the edge of the box, with the goal empty, Popa being out.

It was not the last goal of the half, as Manea scored for 3-0 in overtime.

For Pop it was the 4th goal in the shirt of Rapid. The last time he scored was on September 23, 2024, also in a match with Slobozia, in stage 10. The kid managed a “double”, and the Giulești team prevailed away from home, score 2-1.

The first goal was scored on August 23, 2024, in a Poli Iași – Rapid 1-2, the debut of Marius Șumudică.

Quoted by the specialized website Transfermarkt at 600,000 euros, Pop was the U21 player that Gâlcă bet on in the match with Slobozia.

Normally, the starter is Andrei Borza (19 years old), but the left defender is injured and will return to the field in the coming weeks.

In the last stage, during the victory in the derby with Dinamo, Robert Bădescu was the U21 player used by Gâlcă.
