Governor Mikhail Kotyukov signed a decree that regulates the use of pyrotechnics in the Krasnoyarsk Territory during the New Year and May holidays, as well as the sale of alcohol.
According to the document, in the period from December 30 to January 8 and from April 28 to May 11, it is prohibited to use fireworks, firecrackers, salutes and similar pyrotechnics. Crackers, sparklers and cold fire fountains are permitted.
DThis restriction applies to both citizens and organizations. The exception is official events organized with the participation of regional authorities or local governments of municipalities.
In addition, on December 31, as well as on May 1, 2, 3, 4, 8 and 9, during official holiday events, retail sales of alcoholic beverages will be limited to a distance closer than 100 meters to the venues.
“The measures taken are related to the level of basic readiness established throughout the region in accordance with the presidential decree of October 19, 2022. Basic preparedness, in particular, provides for strengthening the protection of public order and ensuring public safety. The lifting of restrictions on pyrotechnics is possible after the basic alert level is lifted,” the regional government explained.
