Former councilor of Nicușor Dan: “He conspired with PSD. Now he showed his face”

The former presidential adviser, Ludovic Orban, said on Sunday, on Digi 24, that the appointment made by President Nicușor Dan is an “attack on the constitution and a gross violation of democracy”, claiming that he had put his shoulder, together with the PSD, for the landing of the Bolojan Government from the very beginning.

Nicușor Dan violated the constitution twice, claims Orban. The first time he appointed Eugen Tomac, who was part of a party that is not in Parliament, and the second time by nominating Adrian Veștea, without consulting the parliamentary parties and without one of these formations making such a proposal, emphasized the president of Forței Drepte.

The former liberal leader claimed that by appointing Veștea, he demonstrates “clearly” that the head of state is “with the PSD against the PNL”.

“Eugen Tomac was a PSD surrogate prime minister and Adrian Veștea is the same thing, supported by the PSD. That he will get some votes from the PNL, that is debatable, we will see if after the decision of the National Bureau of the PNL there will be many MPs willing to place themselves outside the party”, said Orban.

He also stated that Nicușor Dan “finally shows us that he is showing his face” and that the head of state “conspired together with the PSD to disembark the Bolojan Government and split the PNL”.

“Practically, he turned him into a political enemy. He behaves as if he is a political enemy. This is unacceptable in a democracy,” the former PNL president emphasized.

“This proves that everything Nicușor Dan says today is a lie, that he wants a pro-Western majority. He destroyed the Coalition together with the PSD. And today he is trying to destroy it again. He is trying to form a majority that is built on the PSD and traitors”, commented the former advisor to the president.

Orban also appreciated that in the calculations for supporting the Vestea Government, there are parliamentarians who were elected on the SOS Romania and POT lists.

“No Dan, who says he is fighting against extremism, is trying to get a parliamentary majority and support for a government, by emanating his own will and not the will of the parliamentary parties, with votes from Georgians and shockers,” Orban also pointed out.

Eugen Tomac submitted his mandate on Sunday, on the last day when he has to notify the Parliament about the formula of the future Government, and Nicușor Dan announced that he had appointed Adrian Veștea, first vice-president of PNL and president of CJ Brașov, for the position of prime minister.
