Alexey Smirnov had heart problems shortly before his arrest. Recently he was observed by Moscow doctors.
According to Mash, after his resignation, Smirnov went to a clinic in the capital and complained of chest pain in the area of his heart. Then most of the time he spent most of his time in one of his cottages in Krasnogorsk, near Moscow, and periodically came to the Kursk region.
This morning, officers came to his home in Kursk and detained him. At the same time, law enforcement officers also took the former vice-governor of the region, Alexei Dedov. Previously, they are not involved in the case of theft of government funds during the construction of fortifications. However, questions may also arise regarding this. In the near future, both will be taken to Moscow to testify.
