Ostiamare, the team patronized by Daniele De Rossi, achieved promotion to Serie C after a season dominated in Serie D, group F. It is an important return for the club from Ostia, who will perform again in professional football after a 35-year absence.
The club is owned by Daniele De Rossi, current Genoa coach of Dan Țucu, who was directly involved in the reconstruction project.
De Rossi on his team's promotion: 'We deserve it'
After the promotion was confirmed, De Rossi traveled to Rome to join the team in the festivities, along with the players, staff and supporters. The former Italian international declared, according to abola.pt:
“We deserve it, it is a great joy for us. I am extremely happy for Ostia and for all of us.“

Before entering sports management, De Rossi had an important career as a player. He was formed at AS Roma, where he played for 18 seasons (2001-2019).
He ticked over 600 official matches for Roma and scored over 60 goals, being one of the most important defensive midfielders in the club's history. With the Italian national team, he collected 117 caps, winning the 2006 World Cup.
After the experience in Rome, he played at Boca Juniors, where he ended his playing career in 2020.
The Ostia project
After his retirement, De Rossi invested in the Ostiamare project, a club he took over in a difficult situation. His strategy was based on academy development, youth promotion and administrative stability.
In less than two years, these measures resulted in promotion to Serie C. Ostiamare thus returns to Italy's professional leagues, with the objective of maintaining and strengthening the project in the long term.
