Two earthquakes of 4.2 occurred on Saturday morning in Romania in less than an hour

Two earthquakes, both of magnitude 4.2, occurred on Saturday morning in Romania, in less than an hour, announced the Institute for Earth Physics (INFP).
The two earthquakes occurred in the Vrancea seismic zone, at great depths, of almost 130 kilometers, according to INFP data.
The first occurred at 4:19 am and the second at 5:11 am.
According to the maps from the Institute for Earth Physics, the earthquakes had their epicenter at a very short distance from each other, south of Chiricani village in Vrancea county.
Another earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 also occurred on Wednesday in the Vrancea seismic zone at a depth of 90.1 kilometers.
In October, more than 20 earthquakes occurred in Romania, with magnitudes between 2 and 4.2 on the Richter scale.
The biggest earthquakes this year, both measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale, took place on February 13 in Buzău County, respectively on May 11 in Vrancea County.
Last year, the most important earthquake had a magnitude of 5.4 and occurred in Buzau County on September 16.
