The Ukrainians use European missiles, not ours. I don't control it

On October 22, The Wall Street Journal wrote that the Trump administration had lifted a key ban on Ukraine’s use of Western long-range missiles to strike deep into the Russian Federation.

The media noted that since Trump came to power in the United States, the Pentagon has established a vetting process for approving such strikes using American missiles or missiles from other countries, including Storm Shadow, that rely on American data on targets.

Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth had the final say on whether Ukraine could use Western long-range missiles to strike Russia. Until recently, no strikes were approved. However, now the authority to support such attacks by Ukraine has been transferred from Hegseth to the Commander-in-Chief of NATO Allied Armed Forces in Europe, American General Alexus Grinkevich, the WSJ emphasized.

Trump called the material “fake.”

“They [украинцы] don't use our missiles. They use, I think, European missiles that come from somewhere, but they don't use ours. And what they do is I [это] I don’t control it, but I control our missiles. They don't launch our missiles. It was a fake story,” the head of the White House said at a meeting with Rutte.
