On Wednesday, the Treasury Department announced new sanctions that will primarily affect the two largest Russian oil companies financing the Kremlin's war machine – Rosneft and Lukoil. These are the first restrictions imposed by the US on Russia during Donald Trump's second term.
– Look, these are huge sanctions. They are very serious. They are directed against two large oil companies. And we hope they won't last long. We hope that the war will be resolved, said the US president.
