Prime Minister Donald Tusk reached Brussels, where The first ever summit of the European Union and Egypt began. The event is attended by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, and the Polish Prime Minister will join the informal meeting of European leaders with the Egyptian leader.
On Thursday, Donald Tusk will take part in the European Council sessionswhich will focus on key topics such as supporting Ukraine, increasing Europe's defense readiness, ecological and digital transformation, as well as challenges in housing policy.
The summit will also be attended by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, with whom the Polish Prime Minister will meet both among European leaders and during bilateral talks..

The leaders of several European countries, including Poland, Great Britain, France, Germany and Ukraine, as well as the European Union, issued a joint statement on Tuesday in which they supported the efforts of US President Donald Trump and Ukraine to end the war in that country.
“We strongly support President Trump's position that fighting should stop immediately and the current line of contact should be the starting point for negotiations. We must increase pressure on the Russian economy and defense industry until (Russian leader Vladimir) Putin is ready to make peace.” – said in a statement published by the British government.

One of the agenda items will also be a discussion of the situation in the Gaza Strip and progress in implementing the assumptions of the migration policy. These topics constitute key challenges for European leaders as they seek common solutions to current crises.
